Alec & Jacynda

Alec and Jacynda share a love for analog photography, drawn to its imperfections, spontaneity, and the feeling of a moment captured as it truly happened. From our early conversations, I wanted to understand what mattered to them and shape the photography around their vision. Their appreciation for the unposed and the unpredictable became the foundation for documenting their wedding, allowing their personalities and relationship to take center stage.

At Little Church of the West, the intimate setting and warm wooden interior offered an atmosphere that felt timeless and personal. I made the deliberate choice to work entirely with available light, without using flash, embracing the natural shadows and ambient warmth of the chapel. Rather than changing the character of the space, I wanted the photographs to preserve the feeling of being there, capturing the ceremony as it unfolded.
For their reception at Silver Stamp, I carried that same philosophy into a more relaxed, playful setting. To bring Alec and Jacynda's love for analog photography into the celebration, I prepared five disposable cameras for their guests to use throughout the evening. It was a way to let everyone become part of the storytelling, capturing their own spontaneous perspectives, unexpected moments, and imperfect little frames that might otherwise go unnoticed.
My goal was to capture Alec and Jacynda's wedding as it happened, without over-directing or making things feel staged. I focused on the candid moments, the interactions between friends, and everything in between. Just like the analog photography they love, I wanted the photos to feel natural and a little imperfect, capturing the day as they experienced it rather than trying to make everything look picture-perfect.
