Our Love Stories

Christine & Jessica

Christine is a photographer, so I knew that she would connect with a cinematic visual language. It felt important that the unconditional love and support from friends and family was expressed loudly in the warmest Filipino way possible.


Rather than presenting the film around a grand declaration of romance, I chose a more ordinary, reflective approach. Something more intimate that could carry the feeling of domestic normalcy.

The song was selected for its message of “advice for when you have kids”, highlighting a pure and sincere love of routine and structure. The adoration for each other is not shown in a grandiose dramatic release, but the small, quiet gestures with the promise to fill their days ahead.
